Getting started

What is a virtual office?

A virtual office is a persistent online workplace your team keeps open all day instead of a series of scheduled calls. In KioskMate you walk into named rooms, colleagues can see where you are and whether now is a good moment, and chat and meetings start from the room you are in. See every virtual office feature.

What are the browser requirements?

KioskMate is fully browser based with nothing to download or install. Any current desktop or mobile browser with JavaScript enabled works; voice and video meetings also need microphone and camera permission. There is no native desktop app. Open a free office in your browser.

What does the free plan include?

The Free plan gives you 1 office with 7 rooms for up to 8 people, including presence, room chat, direct messages and meetings of up to 30 min. No card is required, and guest links, recording and analytics unlock on paid plans. Compare the free and paid plans.

Presence & rooms

How do presence and status work?

Every teammate has a live status with six states: online, away, busy, in meeting, do not disturb and offline, plus an optional status message and the room they are currently in. Presence refreshes while the tab is open and expires automatically when the heartbeat stops, so the office never shows someone who has actually left. Read how team presence works.

What room types does an office have?

An office is built from six room types: a reception, an open floor, focus rooms, meeting rooms, client suites and a break room. Each room has its own chat and shows who is inside, and admins can add, rename or retire rooms as the team changes. Compare rooms with a 2D map approach.

Meetings & guests

How long can meetings run on each plan?

Meeting length is set by your plan: Free 30 min, Team 4 hours, Business 24 hours, and Enterprise has no practical cap. Meetings can be started instantly in any meeting room or scheduled with an agenda and invitees, and every scheduled meeting exports to your calendar as a standard .ics file. Check meeting limits by plan.

Can I record meetings?

Meeting recording is available from the Business plan upward, alongside usage analytics. Free and Team offices can run full voice and video meetings but do not keep recordings. Upgrade to Business for recording.

Pricing & plans

How is KioskMate priced?

Plans are priced per office, not per seat: Team at $19/month (3 offices, 20 rooms per office, 25 people) and Business at $49/month (10 offices, 80 rooms per office, 100 people), plus a custom Enterprise plan with unlimited offices, rooms and people and single sign-on. You can change plans from the admin console whenever your team grows. View full pricing.

Who is the Enterprise plan for?

Enterprise is for organisations that need unlimited offices, rooms and people, single sign-on and a commercial agreement rather than a card. Pricing is custom and agreed with our team, so the plan is not self-serve. Talk to us about Enterprise.

Landlord

What is the difference between KioskMate Office and KioskMate Landlord?

KioskMate Office is a persistent virtual office for one company, with rooms, presence, chat, meetings and client suites. KioskMate Landlord is for operators who run a portfolio of virtual buildings for the companies they serve: they provision each tenant its own office, manage leases and renewals, invoice tenants and keep their own brand on every door. Learn who builds KioskMate.

Can a landlord see what happens inside tenant offices?

No. Landlords work with metadata only: which offices exist, their plan, lease status and headcount. Tenant messages, meetings and files are never visible to the operator, and every landlord action is written to an audit trail. Become a Landlord.
