KioskMate vs Kumospace
KioskMate and Kumospace are both browser-based virtual offices, but they price and scale differently. KioskMate charges per office: the Team plan is $19/month for up to 25 people, so the bill does not move when you hire. Kumospace charges per user, from $16 per user a month on annual billing with a five-seat minimum. Choose Kumospace for large social events and a long feature list; choose KioskMate for an everyday office with client suites and flat pricing.

What Kumospace is
Kumospace is a virtual office and events platform. Teams get a floor they can walk around, spatial audio that fades as you move away from people, and a set of social tools built for parties, all-hands and large gatherings. It is one of the better known names in the category and its floors scale to hundreds of concurrent guests.
Its published pricing is per user: the Business plan is $16 per user a month billed annually — $20 billed monthly — with a five-seat minimum, and it adds unlimited floors, recording and analytics. There is a free tier for 5 registered members on 1 floor, capped at four hours a week, and an Enterprise tier with SSO on custom pricing. Figures read from Kumospace's pricing page in September 2026.
How KioskMate is different
The pricing model is the first real difference. KioskMate bills for the office, not the people in it. A 25-person team on the Team plan pays $19/month in total; the same team on a per-user plan at $16 pays several hundred dollars a month. That flips the maths for small agencies and studios, and it means nobody has to think about seat licences before inviting a colleague.
The second difference is what the space is for. Kumospace leans into events and social presence. KioskMate leans into the working day and into client-facing work: six room types including dedicated client suites, six presence states that tell colleagues whether you can be interrupted, and time-boxed guest links that drop a visitor into a waiting room and then into one suite — never into the rest of your office.
Kumospace is the more mature product and the better choice if you run big virtual events. KioskMate does not try to compete there.
When to choose each
- Choose Kumospace if you run large virtual events, all-hands or social gatherings, want a floor that scales to hundreds of concurrent guests, and are comfortable paying per user.
- Choose KioskMate if you want a persistent office your team lives in all day, you bring clients in through guest links and waiting rooms, and you would rather pay $19/month for the office than a licence for every person in it.

KioskMate vs Kumospace: common questions
- Is KioskMate cheaper than Kumospace?
- For most teams, yes, because the pricing models are different rather than the prices. KioskMate's Team plan is $19/month a month for the whole office, up to 25 people. Kumospace publishes $16 per user a month on annual billing with a five-seat minimum, so cost rises with headcount. A very small team on Kumospace's free tier pays nothing at all; a growing team crosses over quickly. Compare your own headcount against both pages before you buy.
- Does KioskMate have a free plan like Kumospace?
- Yes. KioskMate's Free plan gives you one office with 7 rooms and up to 8 people, with 30 min meetings. It needs no credit card and does not expire. Kumospace's free tier covers 5 registered members on 1 floor with a four-hour-a-week limit. KioskMate's free plan has no weekly time limit.
- Can I invite clients into KioskMate the way I can into a Kumospace floor?
- Yes, and the mechanics are stricter. KioskMate guest links are time-boxed, revocable and scoped: the visitor lands in a waiting room, you admit them, and they see one client suite rather than the whole office. Guest links are available from the Team plan.
- Which one is better for virtual events?
- Kumospace. It is built for events, its floors handle far larger concurrent audiences, and it has the social tooling to match. KioskMate is built for the everyday working office and for client meetings, not for conferences.
